Zesis

The need

A tutoring school with one-to-one and small-group lessons organised its timetable, attendance, homework, make-up lessons and fees by hand, and parents were kept informed only piecemeal.

The solution

• A timetable per room, with availability derived from each student's activities and make-up lessons that are easy to schedule.
• Attendance, homework and material recorded during the lesson and available to parents and students at once.
• A parent and student portal: parents see attendance, progress, appointments and messages; students see the material, the homework and what is due next time. With notifications.
• A special-education progress journal, kept on a separate, confidential level.

Under the hood

Sensitive data is stored separately, with access restricted to staff at the database level. Installs as an app on the phone, with push notifications. Built for the Zesis tutoring school and available to other schools.
